Talked a couple of the Team pilots this weekend. They had no idea either.

It was flying good though ;)

Well if it makes you feel better I missed filming all of Marcus flights :arggg:
But Mr. Kim gave me a Futaba hat :D

The Aurora does take a beating well. I watched Marcus nose it in, dig dirt, pick it up and replace the torque tube and it was ready to fly.

Heliproz is now taking pre-orders for the Avant Aurora. It is on their website now. Deposit of $100.00 by money order to get on list and will be billed balance when they come in.

$100 deposit. Someone must need some operating expenses. You would think a credit card would be enough deposit to put one on order. First time I heard of a deposit required to order a heli.

A credit card can have the charges reversed if the heli doesn't show up in a reasonable time, or if you don't get one out of the first batch from Heli-Proz, but there are others available from other dealers.

They did that with the Synergy too I believe.

Nope, with the Synergy . Rick's took orders with credit cards. Cards were not charged till heli was shipped.

Here is how Rick's did the Synergy

Ricks RC Helis
The first batch of kits is due in soon. Here's how we are going to decide who's order gets shipped first. We will go down the list of orders starting with the earliest date/time. We will charge the person's card for the complete order. If the card goes through, we will ship the kit. If your card declines for any reason, we will attempt one phone call to your daytime phone number. If there is no answer, we will send an email to the email address on file telling you that your card declined and move on to the next person on the list. That next person gets your kit. When you reply and we can successfully charge your card, you go back to the top of the list. Please bear in mind that we are getting a limited number of kits and they will go out very fast. My advice is to call your credit card company in advance and verify that the card will go through. Any inquiries about your order should go through Karen at extension 20. Please do not send carbon copies of messages to anyone else. Do this and you'll be flying your Synergy N9 before you know it.

I wonder for the customers that send a $100 money order. If they change there mind do they get back their deposit.

They dropped the MO thing and are using CC's to take the preorder. they said MO's were going to be more trouble than they were worth.DOUG

Avant Aurora non-refundable Pre-order

$100 non refundable is still a $100 by Credit card or Money Order. So I would think they are going to charge $100 and not give it back .

Is that Heliproz or Avant with that rule?

 The last thing Ausuto needs is a per hundred bucks to off set his expenses. He is loaded

I doubt Heliproz is going to keep anyones money, they just want a commitment before they order the things. I have no doubt that the worst you would end up with is a store credit for 100 bucks you would have spent there anyways.

Who's Asusto?

From what we saw at the Excellent Birmingham Event, the Aurora is very close. TONS of HARD HARD HARD HARD Flying and NO Failures. Best looking machines at the field, they are SWEET!! If you fly Glow, they are definitely worth the wait I believe.

Hopefully Augusto will also make an E Version and if he does, there will be one in my truck and flying at our local club and it will be all mine!!! (As long as my wife does not claim it, although that might be an opportunity for 2!!) :glasses2:

Interesting

They took a $100 deposit, Now they say they have kits and will not ship them.
I would think your post will have some people that paid the deposit calling to see if this a fact.

Something doesn't sound right about that.
