Nothing has sounded right about this whole ordeal. If it is nothing else it is at least outside of the norm. Augusto has been tighter lipped than the Secret Service about when it will come out since he has missed several delivery dates with it.

I want one and have the stuff for one but I want them on shelves wtih parts beside them and a price list I can look at before I give any company one digit of my CC number.

Everything about the development of this heli has been odd. Augusto is a great engineer, but he is poor at PR. Just a fact.

In his defence I believe several guys on various lists have berated him to death and he just went whole hog on everyone. He had to decide how much info to give or how little and he just decided the path of least resistence was none. But his odd behaviour as far as deposits and etc fuel the speculations so...

Well see,

I talked to Augusto at the Birmingham event. Heliproz was the one that made the decision to take the deposits. Augusto and me talked, no he did not give me a release date. I have been in the heli hobby and involved with manufactuering to know. That when a company has to depend on sub contractors for the parts manufactuering that time limits go out the windown sometimes.

I just find it odd that the person above says Heliproz told him they have kits, but will not ship them out. Even thou people have paid deposits to get a guaranteed slot for a kit. I would say that is not good business on their part if that is true.

Not a fault of Augusto or Avant for anyway Heliproz decides to conduct there business.

its incredible how silly we are ! the truth is that augusto is trying to build a new heli and obviouly is not able to do so therefore he needs money for his project therefore the idea of non refundable deposit.....
he should just stop all this and admit it and i hope that he wont get away with it that s a ripp off

Still an obvious non-sense man as I can see...
Please do consider it in this way...
I DON'T need your advices and I pretty sure that none of us does need them...

So stay quite and continue to fly your lovely bird.

Yeah... I know the Aurora is still a mith that is due to the fact that I did take the blue pill instead of the red one... that's the reason why we can't realize the truth that is brought to us by the man (M3DNT)... (even Jesus didn't realize it)

The guy is just laughable... :smokin:

Any news about the fact that you did plan to sue Augusto because the Aurora is more expensive than a Raptor 90 :?: :?: :?:

I think just about every single forum that has a Avant sub section is just about a soap opera right now. All I look for anymore is to see if they have been released yet. There is more mis-information than the National Enquirer.

Odd thing is though David is that all the places taking Avant orders did the deposit thing too. I have heard so many stories on who, what, where and why there is a deposit that I have no idea who started it or why they did. All I know is I am not paying one to get a heli. Besides I don't want one of the first of anything. I'll get one befoer long. I have plenty to fly until then.

People keep mentioning that Curtis will someday comeout with his own machine. Not if he EVER reads any of the online forums he won't!!! Who wants the hassle? If you want that much pain just go hit you hand with a hammer and get it over with!!!

Talked to heliproz yesterday they said they have the auroras in stock but they will not ship them until they have gotten the spare parts.

That's not true. Are you sure somebody at Heliproz wasn't pulling your leg?

Augusto.

Since a new month is around the corner I hope we see the kits soon.

From my experience being involved in kit production. I have seen what is called kits in stock by the manufactuer. They would have 200-300 kits ready, packed and on the floor. These kits would need one or two parts that the sub contractors have not completed yet and gotten to them. This is fairly normal. So don't know why they would say kits in stock. Sounds like Heliproz is getting aggravated with the phone calls and is just telling people something they think they want to hear.
Depending on sub contractors throws time tables out the window. Usually there priority is not making heli parts and they will push them aside for more important items that make them more money with less work. Just the nature of the process.

Heliproz told me today that the kits are in stock NOT that they have them but simply that the kits are made and the hold up is Augusto wants there to be plenty of spares upon its release. That makes good sense. If he holds them back until there is parts people are mad. If he sells them and you crash and there is no part in stock you get even hotter.
Norman Ross Jr.

A few will be mad "if" they crash and wait for parts, and that their fault to crash it,
BUT a couple hundred other will be very happy.
Also from what I see ,there are a lot of Aurora parts same as Avants parts ,so...

All contracts have "time table" to deliver order unless some chaos happen...
Most company have "over time" to complete orders to keep their cust. happy...

All production contracts I've delt with have a penalty (usually $$$) if not completed by a specified date. Don't put that in the contract and you are begging for problems.

May be wrong. But I doubt there was any production contracts.

Update:

In a previous post I posted two things:

Quote
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I recently came back from a trip where I visited several of our vendors outside California. I wanted to take a look at where we were to see if we needed to do anything to expedite any parts but they seem to have things pretty much under control so things are looking good.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Because of that trip where I got on a plane and personally visited several of our vendors and where I got assurances about their deliveries to be on time I posted this:

Quote
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

we expect Santa to be pretty busy delivering Auroras this Christmas
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It turns out that recently a couple of the vendors contacted us to tell us that they were foreseen some delays for whatever reason and asked us to give them a few days until they could give us assurances that they could ship the parts in time as promised to us. We waited to get an update as they asked us to so I didn't want to post any updates until we got some news. We recently got word from them and they are going to have to delay their shipments to us two or three more weeks than their anticipated dates which will unfortunately make Christmas shipments not possible.

Unfortunately the thing with a kit is that if it's missing a part no matter how insignificant it is you can't ship it. I don't know if most of you realize that no matter how bad you want the heli to be released we want it to be released even more.

When dealing with sub contractors, that is just the way it is in this hobby. Have to do the best possible with the circumstances.

Like I have been trying to point out. When dealing with sub contractors, time tables are virtually useless. These machine shops do not make there money doing heli parts exclusively. If they did they would not being able to even put food on there table.

No, they said that they were planning on tearing down some kits so they would have a couple sets of spares. That is exactly what they said...

I do not think he is calling you a liar. It is just that Augusto (the guy that makes Avant) said he had not made nor shipped any kits anywhere. So unless something has changed in the last few days since I spoke with him. Someone is blowing smoke up your butt ;)

I believe you talked to him in the last 3-4 days. Not 3 weeks ago.
So I would think the smoke blowing is the truth.
