hell guys. ive had a Reflex XTR for about a year and a bit now. my pc is sooo poweful, its a custom built mad gaming machine, and reflex runs soooooooo well on it at 1280x1024 85hz i get easily over 200 fps!!!!! it realy does rule.

transmitter ive got is a futaba FF7, and from my experience with aircraft. all the aircraft are very very realistic and a dream to fly.

but what about the helicopters??
as im getting a raptor 50 titan soon. would practising with a raptor 50 v2 on the pc, do anything to help me fly the thing in real life??

Reflex ix pretty close, but no simulator will be exactly like the real thing. One issue I have with Reflex is the gravity sometimes seems to be lower than in the real world.

It's not that big of a deal, what you want in the sim is to learn to control the heli in all orientations, and for that Reflex (or any of the sims out there) does a GREAT job.

For helis - set the Time Expansion Factor in 'Simulation Parameters' to 0.8 that will give a realistic response time and feeling of 'gravity' - if you want to sharpen up your refexes (excuse the pun) set the TEF to 0.6.........

Strangely, for planks, the standard TEF of 1 feels about right.

Gonna have to try that, thanks Rick!!

naaaa, dont touch the TEF, i found it out, most of us guys dont use governors, so disable the rpm control and throttle an pitch mixing off, then put the throttle channel on channel six, prebly a dial that u can turn. set throttle to maximum, blade rpms go to about 1900 rpm (raptor 50v2 tuning) and the thing takes off and responds just like it does in the videos u see. trust me, try it!!!!!!!

RPM governing OFF
and throttle an pitch mixing OFF
this is all under the model parameters section.

thanks

The radio I am using is for plankers, so shouldent I still keep the mixing on?
