View Full Version : headspeed
I'm running a raptor 50v2 with a mostly stock head (quick UK washout assembly, head button, and flybar assembly). What is a good headspeed to run in that setup for 3D? Currently I'm running 1800, but I find myself looking for more "unf". :) Should I leave it where it is until I can upgrade to an all metal head that can take more abuse?
Thanks for the info,

well, the plastic rotor hub doesn't seem to hold up to much higher headspeed than that for long. I'm running 1900 on mine and I'd be afraid to go much higher. This is all just word of mouth though. I've never had a failure. Just make sure the jesus bolt is tight, and the head doesn't wobble.

Depends on your blades also - any wooden >1800, CF with plastic head >1950ish - best bet Metal head and CF blades and run it up to 2100-2200 :badair:
I'm running v-blades and I just setup an all metal Quick UK head. So far I've been running it at 1950, but I may start bumping it up to get a little more out of it. :)
thanks for the tips
