My Futaba 6EX receiver was not working right. Intermittently the receiver would go dead. Squeezing the radio itself (R156) with tape corrected for a while but then last night it acted up again. So I opened the cover to the receiver and started pressing lightly on the parts with a piece of plastic until I got it to work. I found that right in the center of the circuit board is a small surface mount (SMT) black/silver capacitor which if I touch would bring the radio back to life. So I reflowed the solder on both ends of the cap and it seems to have fixed the problem. I bought the Futaba used so I don't know what happen to it before I owned it. FYI.
