Here’s a little more info. Fly’s very nice with the reduced weight of the carrier. Extremely smooth and stable. All it really needs now is a 9t pinion and a little better battery such as the new EVO 6S 4900 or the TP.
AUW – Approx 10.5lbs
Align 4400 Lipo
Battery Temp 112
Motor Temp 120
Flight 5 minutes
Put back 3150mah in the pack

3D? I thought about pulling a loop but common sense prevailed.
I installed a lighter 4.8v downlink and power both the rx and downlink from one small 2S lipo. Before I was running a heaver 12v downlink and twin battery packs. That in it self removed a fair amount of weight.
You're probably right. Maybe I have the only 600 helicam in the world
For now...

Symon, don't stop there! The downlink needs a buddy - a digital camera with a trigger. View the shot in the downlink and take the pic with all the quality you like!

I have a question. what is the number of tooth on the main gear, drive pinion and pitch? for AP, you only want about 1800rpm. tango 45- 8 on 10S with right pinion may be a great AP combo with right pinion to turn 1800rpm. .

I think the main is 177 and the pinion is 10. .07 pitch. The deal is I don't want to run 10S. I want to keep the cost down and I'm not keen on buying 10S packs, new ESC and motor.
Align is working on a 9t straight and a 10 helical. The helical gear is 188t but they only make an 11t helical pinion which gives you the same ratio. All I really need is one tooth smaller and I'll be close enough.
Just as it is the performance is pretty good.

on 10S, it is too close to maximum limit of tango 45-8, 8S probably is better. with 7, you can do 10S. I find tangos to be excellent and efficient motor. I am just thinking about best alternative setup. with nosecam, it would be easy to have dual 4S or 5S pack on the wings. eolo/logo has 0.7pitch pinions. frankly, I hate running high ratio single stage setup. it is noisy and hard on the gears. 18:1 is bit too much for gear efficiency as well. you only have 1 tooth engaged, and most engineering specs recommend minimum of 2, better 3 tooth engagement. hmm on 8S, 14tooth will give about 1800rpm. 13 tooth with 45-7 on 10S. sound like a possibility.
I know people are having decent result with stock setup. I am just thinking about the ideal AP setup with motor that will fit the frame. (tango being one of few, and it is a great motor)

Agreed. Like I said though I'm trying to keep the cost down until such time as the Lipos pushers quit bending us over the table.

DJ has gotten prodigy 5S5000 packs for 100 bucks each and getting good results. 200 bucks is not a bad way to go for dual pack where average power draw will be about 20 amp. I gotten excellent result from4S4400 from xus hobby at 90 bucks a pack. (two will give 10 min flight) they are becoming available and at good price.

Just as a side note. I sent Andy an email requesting the new blade grips. Two days later they were in my hands. Nice!!
