My 550 is just too twitchy now.
I am thinking it might be the 3d pro blades or going from red to black dampers.
The 550 is just super super fast and as twitchy as my gaui 200!
It is at 2350 RPM. It is stable but super twitchy and hard to do anything close in like funnels or piro flips, etc.. it moves 100 feet a secind if I am niot careful.
I even have 25% expo on the aileron and elevator..
What options do I have ? I am on advanced head but prior to this I was using SWE blades AND Red Dampers.. Can those make such a HUGE difference ??

Go to the 300mm flybar. Also you may want to change the head setting or use heavier paddles to tame it down.

I am on the 300 and stock paddle
with red dampers and swe blades it was much easier to fly.
I am asking if dampers can make such a diff

Yes they will make a difference and so will lighter blades. Are your new blades lighter than the old ones? If so how much?
I'd just change the head settings that's what I did and it's smooth as butter mid cyclic stick, but has all the roll rate I'll ever need.

So back to intermediate head settings ?
Not sure on blade weight. Maybe I wil try the other cheap blades from hobbyking too. They are heavier I think

So back to intermediate head settings ?
You don't have to go that fare, if your flying on full advanced according to the manual I'd move the longest rod going from the swash to the upper mixing lever to the outer hole.
How much cyclic are you running and pitch?

thats for that. as for pitch/cyclic. Yes I can tone it down a bunch I am sure.

Would reducing the swash values also tame it down? Maybe dampers and paddles are a more direct influence on sensitivity. Also could apply expo...?

Actually after flying it more I found out the problem.
Initially i thought it was my outrage cyclic swash %, but that wasnt it.
Its the Pro-3d Blades I bought from Heli Direct. In a nut shell they are crap. Make the heli very unpredictible.
I put on some cheapo ones from hobby king and it flies way way better.
I am ordering the rotortech 560's and that will clinch the deal.

RT560's or SWE 550's  that's what Steven fly's
