HELP - 8103 just BEEPS when turned on...

When i turn on my 8103 it just beeps every second like the low battery alarm, but the battery is fully charged... I even tried a different battery from my other JR radio, and nothing... the screen doesnt come on at all, and no other signs of life, just the beeping...

It was in storage for a few months, but other than that, nothing changed...

I would check for a loose connection on the TX module, maybe even take it out completely and then try it. How about the voltage from the battery? It may act as you described if the battery is absolutely dead.... i don't know.

Make sure you have the Flight Mode Switch in Normal and the Throttle Hold is off. If either one is turned on the radio will beep a warning. Also try to adjust the Contrast on the screen. To adjust the contrast push the Select button and the +(plus) and -(minus) buttons to see if the screen will come up. Many times when the screen gets hot from sitting in the sun it gets dark and people adjust it then when the screen cools off the screen is to light to read the next time they use it.

could also be that the builtin lithium battery (that keeps model memories alive) is kaput.

thanks guys, it was some loose wires internally causing the screen to be blank, and the beeping was from throttle hold not being on... all fixed!
