Well finally got over the hurdle of the Headspeed now I see that under a climbout the tail is not holding one bit, it is not just a little kick, it sways out about 6 inches at least throughout the climb and does not hold.

My setup is this
mt tx: Fuataba 9CHP Super
Ion Heli
NEU 1521-1.5Y Fanned
Hacker ESC 77-O Heli, thottle curves, non governor
Gyro Futaba 611 with 9256 tr servo "more than fast enough" // 14mm from center of horn currently. Also I have gain at 37% as per 90 Nitros and my Logos as well, in F3C mode as per default settings.
Main Blades: 700mm G2 mains
TR Blades: 95mm Vblades
Collective range: +10/-10
Headspeed: Approx 1900-1950 somewhere

I am not sure that maybe the tail blades are too small, or perhaps I need to somehow incorporate a mix in the radio for this heli? Throttle to tr or something......

Any ideas or thoughts or experiences with this would be appreciated.

Ok Ed, I am going to try to bump that right up tommorrow and set it to where it wags, then bring it back 5% or so and then try that. Thx for response I will report back, I am pretty excited, after stripping apart another heli for parts I'd like to surely evaluate this one. FWIW, it was tracking very nicely and everything else appeared to be real good. :)

I sure find it hard that my % of 37 does not hold, it has held in every other heli including other MA helis I have seen.

mongo are you running the 611/9256 combo and if so are you running in F3C or 3D mode?

Are all your other parameters on your amp default then mongo other than you changed the F3C mode to 3D?

I got a chance to try it out today with the % up, I set it to 45% seems to be holding fairly well, I still think I may try a pair of 105mm vblades though in the future, should hold better I would think. Is there any particulare reason alot of people are running 95mm tr blades on an Ion? The nitro MA machines "90 size" run 105mm.

bump up the gain, if it wags, bump up the delay...

I should have mentioned I am running the ball on the servo arm 14mm from center of horn, what is everyone else running on this combo? Futaba GY611 and 9256 servo.
