Hi guys,

I've rebuilt my Roxxter 33 after a crash and have a "shake or wobble" when I flip it to Idle2 (1900rpm). It runs fine when it's in "hover-up" (1750rpm).
I've noticed the head dampening rings are tight after the full checkup but after I got the first shake while hovering in Idle2 (1900rpm) I landed and noticed that one of the blade holders seems to be lose. I can actually push/pull the blade holder about 1mm. Normaly it only gives a bit with the rubber dampeners.
I've checked the screws and they're tight. I'm not sure what the problem is. I've checked all the washers and thrust bearings and it all seems fine.
All the borken/bent parts were replaced. It's not just a wobble at the head but the whole body shakes. And it comes on gradually.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks for any help!

Paul,

I had the same problem on my 55 after a few flights.

It went away after mounting the carbon rods for stiffening the flybar. :?

LF told me, the correct solution is tighten the head dampening wich is too lose in this case.
You would have to place more shims to tighten the head.
Add 0,5mm on each side. Try it again. If it`s still not good, add another set of 0,5mm on each side.

This should solve your problem.

Thanks Marcel, that sounds exactly what my problem is.
I suppose I would place the shims b4 the blade holders.
What are the carbon rods for the flybar you were talking about?
Thanks for the help!

A buddy at the field is always experimenting with stuff like this.

I decided to try this out for me and can say: It`s`worth it.
It gives you a more precise feeling, especialy at higher cyclic deflection.

I was learning to do funnels at this time, and it helped me to get a smoother looking circle. (the small ones were my problem)

Try it, and decide yourself. There is not much money lost, if you don`t like it.
:dontknow

R&G should have carbon rod`s with an exact 3mm iD.
