the shoot went great. did it all with the electric Raptor. Did 6 flights and ended up with 38 minutes of shootage.

this Raptor was running great... even in the 95°+ temps. I have decided to sell the nitro RaptorCam. After today's great success I'm going all electric.

So much smoother than my gassers ever were and about a thousand times more reliable. I'm sold..... Electric is where I'll be.

here's a couple clips:

the difference in head speed you hear is because I was using both 11s and 10s battery configs.

Nice flying.

Good smooth video too. Is that raw right of the camera or have you run it through any stabilizing software?

I'm still mulling it over a bit between the logo and raptor setup myself. :P

Gary/DJ...what servos/etc are you running on the logo and raptor cams, out of curiosity? (I'm pretty well established with my 9C radio, so I won't be jumping to another brand tx/rx...)

very nice video dj.

as far as logo10 vs raptor, I think you really need both.

I guess it depends upon your requirement, need and budget. Logo requires smaller servo (like futaba 3150/3102) while raptor can run standard size high torque servo. I run 3102 (cheaper servo ) on my logo 10 and hitec digital on the eraptor. works fine.

I have 9252's on cyclic/collective on the E*RaptorCam and DS-811's & DS-8311's on the nitro Raptor.

For the Logo 10 I went cheap and am using Futaba 3102's

If you plan to do video you need a ship with at least 600mm blades. for stills either Logo 10 or Raptor will work

Hehehhe.

Well, I'm just talking about which to have _first_. Give me time and a few sales and the fleet will grow. :)

I've just recently returned to helis and RC after a long (12 years) layoff. I did not want to make a decision on a camera ship until I had at least exceeded my prior skill level. A week ago, I was thinking I wouldn't be pushing through that point as quickly as I'd hoped. However, I had a week of flying on an empty field (everyone's gone to ircha) and a combination of days that were great and days that were windy that let me practice things I might not have under other conditions.

Brady,

In my opinion, it doesn't matter how smooth raw video captured, you should always do your client a favor and run it through the stabilization software. High end software that is. Hollywood does it always. DJ is fortunate to have access to that fancy hardware/software $hit. Lucky b@stard! :D

DJ,

That is cool $hit! I'm doing the same for a developer over here. I was visuallizing the same images in my mind but you've actually captured it first :)

What took you so long to decide to get rid of the nitro? :D Actually, you might want to hang on to the nitro 'just in case'. Well, unless you've got 3 electric birds for backups. That's my system :)

tomorrow at work if I have time I will run a couple of those shots through the Flint motion tracker and stabilize them. Starting with smooth video and then stabilizing makes the shot look even more amazing.

Well, unless you've got 3 electric birds for backups. That's my system Smile

working on it. I've got the one E*RaptorCam, the Joker and if I sell the nitro I'll build up another Raptor. Then I just need another 4 or 5 10s battery setups.

Nice job Dj, as usual. When you are flying away from the house are you flying tail in or did you shoot from the rear?
