Probably been asked before but I could not find the thread -
I received some lockouts this afternoon while adjusting the new Hanson G26 I received - I have not had lockouts on this radio befoer on Turbines or Intrepid.
I also noticed lines in the downlink monitor that had not been there before.
Q: could the G26 ignition cause this problem? First for me if it can...

Yes, the G-26 ignition can be causing the problem.
Many factors can be contributing.
The ignition will create some stray Rf or noise that DOES affect the receiver, the key is how much and does this cause your receiver over the threshold? If there are multiple conditions present this WILL BE the case. The receiver is designed to handle/filter-out some level of interference.
Questions to answer:
-Is the antenna optimally placed and seeing good signal?
-Is the antenna "blanked" by the frames, motor/ignition source so that the signal is not reaching the antenna?
-Is the spark plug a resistor type and is it's rated resistance good?
-Is the spark plug dirty or aged enough that it's resistance is changed?
-Is there a leak in the ignition system or high tension lead.
-Is part of the radio system close to the ignition system (ideal and not nearly unreachable requirement is 6-8 inches away!!!!).
-Is there a filter or other component problem in the receiver? I this being excited by the gas model vibration?
-Are there other things contributing to the receiver threshold being exceeded like bad bearings?
Hope this helps!!

Man, I hope this doesn't happen to me. I've ordered the RF shield and the resistor plug set from MA per your recommendation. I plan on installing this as soon as my motor comes back to me from Toxic Al.
Also, the guy that I bought the heli from had also included teh 'Whip Antenna" from Horizon Hobby (Revolution Brand). Does this help any at all, or should I just leave the stock antenna as it came? The model number for this Antenna is RVO1010. Any thoughts?

RVO antenna. I use them with no problems on my 12Z and the P Gasser. It points out the front of heli as spark system in in the back.
