Well I dorked my Lepton @ IRCHA this weekend. Got to fly center stage for the first time and the shakey fingers did me in. After inspection I was suprised to find the damage was pretty minimal as it took a good hit.
No frame damage at all.

Dosen't look too bad. Have you had a chance to take it apart and see if what exactly was damaged? Not looking forward to crashing mine since there are no other main blades I am will to pay for yet.

Looks like just a flybar pretty much. It must not have been that bad a crash.

flybar, mainshaft, spindle, main gear, tail shaft, tail hub, tail pitch slider, blades.
Tweaked the boom supports but they were straightend.
It was a pretty good lick. I cringed when it hit. The tail shaft is bent in almost a 45 degree angle.
Stupid fingers......

Yep, see it now. It would be interesting to know the repair cost.

Jon,
Did the frame survive?

The frames sufferd no damage at all. Even with the mod to install the 9650's they held up.

That's great news. Both of my crashes have broken the frame but they have both been really bad glitch induced crashes.

I saw a Lepton at the field yesterday, I was really impressed with how sturdy it was. I think the frame design was really well thought out, the lepton seemed almost like a solid hunk of (VERY LIGHT) metal. That's pretty impressive how well it survived considering the force of a crash that would do that to the tail shaft!
Good luck on speedy repairs. ;)

Not sure any heli would have done better in my last crash. It went in sideways under full power from about 30'. Needless to say I'm tired of the glitching so it's time to replace the CC HV45 with a nice Jazz ESC.

Not that bad.... Previous 2 crashes I saw took out the frames. One in front of the motor and one at the rear under the boom.
Who did it go in? e.g. on it's side, tail, etc?

I hit on the right side, sort of tail first with a little bounce at the end.
