As you all know, I am designing and manufacturing upgrades for the Raptors.
The only way to bring the weight of the Raptor 90 down further is to either use light electronics, mufflers, or engines, or strip away weight.
The other way is to redesign most of the parts and get the weight down.
My first product was a light weight base plate system for the R90. This replaced the existing side stiffeners and bottom CF plate. The base plate system boxes in the bottom of the frame, braces the engine mount, relocates the tail boom supports, isolated mounting holes for the landing gear and allows the engine to drop out.
Just released is the UL (ultralite) R90STD/SE engine mount. The mounting surface is doubled on both sides to decrease the loading on the frames. The larger mounting area reduces the torsional loading on the frame. This upgrade was designed for those that don't use side stiffeners. The UL engine mount is also over 40% lighter than the stock mount. It will work with OS and YS engines.
The purpose of these upgrades are to benefit all Raptor pilots and help you folks get the weight down as much as possible.
