View Full Version : Stocking up on parts... what MUST have parts?

What parts should I stock up on? I did get a few white pully's and a tail block since I read they are hard to come by. I won't be getting the 550 until spring.. but already am getting some parts while they are in stock.

Why 300mm flybar? I see HD has both the 300mm and 340mm. Isn't a longer flybar better? I guess I need to learn more about that.

The 300mm flybar is less pitchy in fast forward flight and gives it a feeling of expo.
The 340mm flybar is more for 3D and allows the heli to flip extremely fast.

Boom block is a MUST spare item, this item will break LONG before the boom ever does :) It's basically like the break away canopy tabs.

I would keep some blade grip pitch arms as well, They will bend in a hard crash.
