Well, I'm ready to start buying/building a camera ship. I'm torn about which way to go though.

I can afford such a helicopter, but I can't afford to make much in the way of mistakes at this point, and have to "re-buy" parts.

As I'm currently flying a Raptor 50 Titan, I am more than a little tempted to get another one with one of Gary's conversions and DJ's mount.

OTOH, since I don't have an established business yet and I can guess that my initial needs would be fairly limited, I've thought about Gary's Logo 10 package...however I do want a driven tail...and if I would have to buy/upgrade helis to switch to video later and not pay godawful amounts more, I'd rather start with such a heli to begin with.

I've thought about a gasser...but I really don't need that much capability to start with and the noise MAY limit my marketability early on. If the need exists later, I'll shop for a gasser then.

I don't want nitro (or I'd just use my existing raptor) due to the mess. Besides, I'd like to keep my current ship as a practice and play heli.

While it can lift the weight, I don't feel the trex 600 is a route I want to go due to the (lack of) motor choices.

I could wait for the E620....but that'll be another month....

If I went with the raptor, which way makes the most sense?

50 titan with its 620mm blade capability?
30 V2 and stretch it?
Gohbee 30, stretched, with metal head?

Help me decide! :)

Thx

if it were me....

30 V2 and stretch it

better yet, do the super stretch. even if you only put some 660's on it now you have the ability to go up to 720 later plus it helps get CG correct since it puts the mass of the tail box further aft.

I've got a mount ready to go here if you decide on a Raptor. PM me and I'll work a deal for you on it.

...and thus, the decision is made. Hehehehe.
