I am new to 50 size helis... started on a trex SE...
One of my local hobby shops is closing down, and selling off everything at a large discount... I got 2 sets of 600mm V blades for 80 bucks, they look really nice, perfect manufacturing.... its the ones that have the shiny sticker thing on the end... the guy at the store said they are the best blades money can buy...

The original price was $129...

Are these going to be good for casual sport flying? Or should I be using something else?

Should I hold on to both pairs, or sell one off?

I just bought my evo 50, and only hovered and trimmed it out so far, using some thunder tiger carbons, but they are really out of balance and the CG of the 2 blades is way off... I think they have been crashed by the previous owner...

so the question is, do I mount the V blades and fly happy, or try to fiddle with the thunder tigers and try to get them to balance? I don't like to waste a set of blades... how good are the V blades, are they as good as I was led to believe?

V's are amongst the best, you don't need to get other ones.

They are great blades. If you want to sell one of them off - let me know :) I could always use another set :D:D

V's are fantastic blades. Used them on my Evo 50 for quite a while and loved the way they tracked through big stuff. Plus, they auto like champs. The REALLY nice thing about V's is they tend to be quite a bit more durable than the other blades on the market so even if you have a light crash, they will probably survive. If you picked up two pair for $80 you got a steal.

Actually, it was 80 bucks each... but from what I can see online even, that still a great price..

If your in columbus and not to far from the north side, you should stop by our field ( www.corflyers.com ) , its the only heli-only field in ohio that I know of... there are lots of people their on sunday afternoons... good fun!

Where do you fly?

I'm in Columbus. East side actually...... Fly over at a business park off of Diley road most of the time and sometimes I'm over in Newark. If I could find a free Saturday, I'd definitely come up to fly with you guys sometime.
