View Full Version : Can a 6 channel radio be used?

I may have a sht at getting a Rap 50 V2, can I use a 6 channel radio (JR 6102 Spektrumized)?

I have it working on my Rex 600 righ now but never flown a nitro and not sure if it needs more channels.

If you have a gyro with remote gain 6 is the minimum so yes it will work.

Yeah bro....unless you wanna use a governer..then again..i m not using a governer yet also...and it still flying,....

If this is a pot shot at my other post, if he were buying a new radio I would tell him to skip the crappy Optic6 and get a 7 channel radio, he's asking if what he has will work, the answer is yes.

Most governors will work without a need for a spare channel, you just cannot switch speeds or turn them off above a certain throttle position.

Yea I thought about that later, I guess I'm so used to running 8 or 9 channel recievers I forgot that many of them will work w/o remote control but as you said they are limited in that mode.

using the DX6102 radio and so far so good, wow its got some power!
