My test case has been challenging on removing the vibrations for video shooting from the Observer platform.

Thanks to Chris and Gary for letting me bounce ideas off them and getting some tried and true info to get r done.

Here is what I came up with so far and still continuing to tweak though the flight video is good and I will post some this weekend.

* New Hanson modified G26 with Z carb spacer, carb set to approx 1 3/8 on hi and low needle

* Head - paddles - blades balanced and tracked

* Tail blades balanced and tracked

* 95MM paddles and flybar weights installed

* Running 6oz Blue Marble for break-in

* 1530 Head Speed at 5 Degrees mid stick hover and the normal throttle curve looks like a snake

How is your camera mounted? Do you have anything to help insulate the camera from vibes? Maybe an expert can post here on options for mounting the camera as opposed to just hard mounting it to the heli. At this point I don't know.

And are you sure it's vibes? I know a guy with an Observer who thought his heli was vibrating, but it turned out that it was the rotor wash from the main blades shaking his camera.

I followed a thought from another thread on using a mouse pad cut to fit under the camera and with a holding piece and fender washer with a larger opening below.

It was certainly high freq vibes for sure an a front pan servo belt a bit loose.

Hard to get rotor down wash that close to the airframe - I could show you the way the air vectors down out and around vortexing at the blade tips if i can find the images.
