I use JR radios and Futaba servos.
I've done the whole bit with trimming, beveling, and sanding the futaba connectors. I hate it... and it results in a shabby connector that is difficult to use.
So I've resorted to cliping off the Futaba plugs. I crimp on new pins and put them in aftermarket JR plugs.
If you take a look at the pin receptacles from a Futaba digital servo, and compare them to any aftermarket pin receptacle, you'll see that the Futaba design is obviously superior. The gold plating is thicker, the contact "fingers" are thicker and stronger.
So now I want the best of both worlds. I want a JR connector shell that will accept the Futaba pin recepticles. I want to simply pull the pins out of the Futaba shell and put them in a JR shell.
Do you know where I can find JR shells that will fit the Futaba pins?
