I just installed the G3 simulator on my machine and updated it to the latest version. I then went onto the Real Flight website and downloaded the free helicopter update (http://www.realflight.com/helis.html), yet to my surprise, I did not notice any additional helicopters in my arsenal of planes and helicopters. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas?

Thanks,

If I am not mistaken, when G3 first came out it was Fixed wing only. Then they added the helicopter portion as a free update. You already had the helicopter portion so there was nothing to update.

To clarify, he original G3 did not include the 222 or H-13. They included these choppers in later versions as they went to market. There is however an update out that will clear up some bugs. Just click "additional options" on the G3 welcome screen (small type under RUN) and select check for updates.

As stated above, the helicopter update does not give you _additional_ helicopters. The original version of RealFlight G3 only supported airplanes, and if you have that version of the product then the helicopter update will give you helicopter support.

That's what I was afraid of... Ok, so the update is redundant with the update to xxx. 448 (off the top of my head)

I updated the G3 immediately after I installed it.

Yes. Version numbers only get larger. The helicopter update was version 3.00.387. If the version number on the box was 3.00.448, then it included the 3.00.387 update.
