View Full Version : Unknown part - Can anyone identify it?

I found this item in the kit. It isn't mentioned in the building instructions, nor the "replacement parts" list.
It has a hole through it, and four threaded holes in 90 degrees with matching four Allen screws. It's 2 cm long and weighs like a CNC part.

If anyone can tell me what this part is, and what is it doing in my Hurricane box, I'd appreciate it.

It is used to join two parts of the tail (rudder) rod if you use one variation of the tail rod (I can't remember which one) so that you can adjust the length of the rod easily

Well I couldn't find it anywhere in the store's website. I tried searchign under "rod", "tube", "CNC", "Aluminum", "tail", "extender" etc. and Nothing.

mike is right. try screwing your tail control rod into the end of it and you'll see!

It's been about for a whil e- came out at the some time as the CNC tail pushrod conversion from memory.

There seems to be some pot ential here. Like they do on This Old House where one of the cast members brings in some object and the other members make goofy guesses as to what it is.
We could call it...................... WTF is it?
Someone could post a picture of something and people could make goofy guesses as to what it is until they are finally shown. And then...........

Sounds like fun .... just a couple of slight concerns ...
We can never see what Marco's pictures are, even when we know what the subject is

This same type of coupler is used on nitros like the Raptor 30/50
