JR radio X2610 - DSC / Trainer Jack issues

I have 2 Graupner MX-12 radio's (same as JR X2610) and both have problems with the DSC / Trainer Jack.

I use this interface as connection to my simulator but it is loosing connection continiously. I have to push the (mono) mini jack to one side to keep it going.

Anyone else with this problem ( solution ) or am I just having bad luck with my radio's.

Yes, I had to carefully cut the cover around the jack that goes into the radio and solder the white wire to the outer case of the jack, then I went ahead and re-soldered the red wire to the pin on back. then useing ty-wraps and good super glue to put the cover back around the jack again. No problems after that!

But I could not see how they originally had the wite wire connected! No old solder! Must have just used the rubber mold to press the wire against the case.
