hi,

i broke the steel shaft on the pinion adaptor/fan/bearing block assembly for my Actro 32-3 today. it broke just below the pinion gear.

i think the top bearing was going for awhile and i didn't notice it. there was some black dust on the white main gear for awhile. this was the bearing failing. i think the bearing failed and got sloppy and this caused excessive play and the shaft wobbled and broke in flight.

anyways, does anyone have an extra one they can sell me ?? i see Ricks has them

http://www.ronlund.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=heli&Product_Code=MA124-110

for $157 but it comes with extra stuff i don't need ie. the 95 tooth main gear.

if some one happens to have one of these pinion adaptor/fan/bearing block assemblies please let me know.

thanks, darren

Darren,
Call Minature.
I am pretty sure you can buy just the shafts from them directly.

When you re-install check to see how far your shaft goes into that top 6mm bearing.

I found mine was not contacting the bearing more than about 2mm or so.

I am going to move the motor mount (table part) up a bit more so the shaft goes all the way in there.
My Actro setup was used so I am not sure if the bolts were wrong or what, but I know there was a serious vibration as a result of the way it was in there.
