Default Outrage Formula Fuel bottles don't seal!

So I just got back from the NEHC Heli Phenomenon in Mansfield, MA.....

While I was down there, I stopped by RCHover and picked up a case of the new Formula 30 fuel.... Now after driving 3 hours home this morning, I opened my case of fuel, and ALL FOUR BOTTLES aren't sealed!!!

I can tighten the caps down on the bottles as tight as possible, and they still leak like CRAZY when I tip them slightly sideways.

I'm not overly concerned with the bottles leaking, I can keep them upright enough to never have an issue... but the problem is they aren't air tight! Methyl Alcohol evaporates at a VERY high rate!

I don't know what to do at this point? Call Jeremy at RCHover and ask for a refund? I'm certainly not paying hazmat fees to ship the case back to Mansfield... that would be ludicrous.

Opinions?

check the lids for the seal and make sure they are not damaged or missing. Giving that its a new line if there is an issue it can be addressed early. On another note have you flown the fuel yet? I would like to know how it runs.

The caps have plastic gaskets in the top of them, but they don't seal no matter how tight you make it. I tried using caps from some Wildcat jugs and they won't seal on these bottles either.

I think I'm going to have to transfer all 4 gallons into some empty Wildcat jugs. I wasn't planning on flying most of this fuel until spring time.

the plastic plugs would be nice for storage, like CP have, but I checked all of mine, and none leak when tipped, all necks were dry/clean too, so no sign that they ever had leaked either.

Odd that yours don't leak but all 4 of mine do.

Anyways I'm transferring all 4 gallons to empty Wildcat jugs right now. Don't want the fuel to go bad. I'm not going to bug Outrage or RCHover about it. I just hope the problem won't be there when I'm ready to buy my next case.

I have handled 5 cases of 30% without any leak issues. After reading this I went out and shook a couple of bottles and squeezed them to see if anything came out. Nothing. I do agree the bottle may benefit from one of those red caps like the CP bottles have.

..... That's interesting.

None of mine had the caps, and caps from regular fuel jugs don't fit, they're too loose.

Good to see they improved it already.

This seems to be one of Outrage R/C's greatest virtues...they listen. (I'm sure these bottles came in country before we mentioned it, but its true nonetheless!)
