Hey
On http://www.duralitebatteries.com are rx Li-poly and rx li-ion. The Li-ion have got a better price for me but what is for that price better?
RX Li-ion or rx Li-poly that costs a lot more.
Heli Setup: 4 S9252, Gyro 601, Gv1.

For reciever packs its best to go Ion, they aren't as sensitive to charging and over discharge (you still have to be careful) and they are hard packed and tend to hold up in crashes better.

Andy is right.
The upside of Li-Po's is that the people flying electric machines that have good chargers can charge/balance their dead Li-Po RX packs at 1C (20 Minutes) and go from dead to fully chaged and balanced at the same time. The other benefit is you can run say a 1500 FlightPower Li-Po pack in place of a MUCH heavier 4000 Li-Ion pack and not have to slow charge the Li-Po like you have to do the Li-Ion with built in balancer and charge safe circuit.
Both technologies have their application and both are a lot better than the alternatives IMHO. Regulated power to the servos is somthing that is hard to do without once you get used to flying it.

I use both Lipo and Li-Ion in my Helis and use the Duralite charger to charge them both , it works great for me .
