View Full Version : Optical Sensor Mount on Vibe
If anyone has mounted an optical sensor on the Vibe, what did you fabricate the mount out of? The mount that comes with the Throttle Jockey Pro Optical Sensor is too short for the Vibe. Thanks.

Maybe an old post but... anyway..
I had the same problem with the GV-1 sensor, and since I have to loosen the carb on my SZH-PS to bolt the engine in, I did not want to mount the sensorarm along with the engine of practical reasons. Funny enough I found that the 30s size arm that came with the GV-1 actually fits on the two selftapping screws just infront of the engine, I think it holds the fanshroud. Now all I need to do is make a small mount to get the sensor up in there.

You'll probably need to cut your own sensor mount in order for everything to line up correctly on the Vibe unless you can get a hold of an ATG sensor mount which is tall enough to reach the Vibe fan. If you have an old vertical/horizontal carbon tail fin lying around that will usually have enough material on it for a sensor bracket. Just trace out the RevMax or TJ pro sensor on the carbon and then extend the end a bit so that you'll be able to reach the fan with your new mount.
