So it's no secrete, I've been on the train of selling off all my birds besides my 500 (which is my child, my partner, my better half) and I decided to weight in and see exactly HOW much I got invested into each of my birds for fun and curiosity.

I didn't count orders for replacement parts from crashes or ex-electronics I removed and upgraded (IE, SG90s dropped for MG90's so only counted the MG90's). So essentially, what I paid for the kit and the electronics in it now.

Did this for both birds and this is why I just had to share, as it's completely making me crack up!

450 - Total invested $515
500 - Total invested $511

You kidding me? I built my 500 pretty "top of the line", all the recommended performance parts by Charlie Stephens and Henry Caldwell their selves. And it cost less than my 450? DAMN.. :thinking

Anyone else have a funny situation like this? Grant, don't even share your investing in those big birds of yours, you've made me feel like a cheapo enough already today! LOL :rolling

Sorry Mike, I've never put together figures like that. When my wife asks pointed questions about costs, I need to be able to shrug and say "I don' know". :dontknow

If my GF asks what my latest addition to my addiction costs (which she rarely do) I usually answers "Less than your hairdo"

+1, I daren't either. I swear it is thousands and thousands, and if I actually knew the total, I would have to stop. Jack once said he had a plan, I think it was Jack, whoever it was I remenbered the point, as I thought it might come in handy. Keep it out of sight until the box has got a little dusty, and then when it does make an appearance, if questioned, respond, "oh this old thing, I've had it for ages, can't even remember how much it cost it was so long ago." :YeaBaby:

Yep Sutty, that's my 48 hour rule. If it's in my posession for more than 48 hours and she hasn't noticed, then it's officially "that old thing" with an unremembered price tag. ;)
