Who needs stinking training gear?

I did it!! I have gotten rid of training gear on BOTH of my helis!

I had gotten rid of the training gear on my Swift while at IRCHA. Then tonight when we flew I decided - what the heli - and took off the training gear on my TRex - and I did fine!

Hey Jetgirl - do it!!! Just do it!!! It is very liberating!

I can't believe how easy it was once I made up my mind to do it.

Every step no matter how small makes a difference.

I remember when I gave up my gear, by accident. I was in a big hurry to fly one day after work and got in the air before I realised I had forgotten the chicken stix! So anyhoo, I figured I'd at least burn the tank I was on before I attempted to land and was thinking it flew ALOT better. I finally brought it in and set it down smooth as pie. I ALMOST put the gear back on next tank but talked myself out of it.

I've used it a few times when setting up something new or rebuilt after a crash.

Like my buddy Dwight told me, "You can't eat an elephant all at once, but if you keep taking little bites, pretty soon that elephant will be gone."

So keep on with the little bites, sounds like your elephants days are numbered!

Hey, congrats! You will see everything is easier without the gear. And much quicker to get up in the air! When I took it off I thought the only one to be disappointed will be the hardward store, no more tie-wrap bulk buys for me!
