I just recieved a charger (used) and it has 3 6v outputs and 1 9v output.

I am wondering if I can use this to charge a Duralite 4000 flat pack. I just called Duralite and they told me that nobody could answer my question until Mon. and I would like to use it this weekend.

Sound like you have the 3 Rx and one TX charger. How old is it and can you throw a picture of it up. If I could see it I could tell you if it is the same as mine.

Who did you get the charger from? You need to make sure it is not one of the original chargers....................Can we see a pic?

Sounds to me like one of the original Duralite chargers that was used to charge the Tradian Lithium/Metal cells. Those cells were 3 volts each and not 3.7 volts like the Lithium/Ion available today. I have one of the old chargers still and it is 3 6 volt outlets and 1 12 volt outlet. The transmitter pack with the Tradian cells was 12 volts.

Can you take a photo Scott so these guys can verify what you have BEFORE you charge if possible?

Thank you!! Just want to make sure your safe.

The new duralite charger looks like the photos below. If the new charger has the step-up transformer for the TX output it has the little button on the end of the charger as in the second picture.

Thanks Guys, It looks like I definatly do have the original charger. I will try and get a pic in a little bit to be sure.

Honestly, I did not relize there are two different chargers. My wife bought me this and she did not relize that a Duralite system includes batteries and regs.

Anybody need a charger and voltmeter? REAL CHEAP!

The original Duralite charger looks just like the Current Duralite 3 + 1 charger.
The only way to tell the difference in them is the label on the front under the charge ports. If 3 of those ports are labeled 6 volts and one of them is labeled 12 volts. Then you have the original Duralite charger. It will not work with the current 7.4 volt Li/Ion packs or the 11.1 volt Transmitter pack.

Also the current charger will have Duralite Plus on the label.
The original charger just has Duralite on the label.
Hope this helps you tell the difference.
