Oops, headbutton. Headblockless .... flying that way is tricky.

LOL! Rick, I just got some spares from HeliDirect. They have every part of the head. If you buy it all separately prepare to spend about $180 though!

LOL. Anyways, who said anything about flying. You can screw the button back on while you are making adjustments.

I would have to find it inside the soccer field first. BTW did i ask you for a flybar lock like 2 years ago :P Might be time to up the budget for the R&D dept.

I think you are right. You did mention these a long time ago. Cool! :noteworthy

I wish I could buy every head out there, but the R&D budget is tapped.

I'll support the heads people really want and ask for.

Yep, it turns around parts pretty quick. Lets me do more complex designed than I was able to do by hand.

I got mine today and I'm glad I did because I was setting up the head after my crash yesterday. First off, thanks again Rick

I couldn't get it to fit at first ;)

I modified a 250 head button to fit on the Pro so I can slow the blades with my finger, but the grips won't hit it in a crash. Anyway, I stuck the original back on there in about 10 seconds, and slid the tool on with the pitch at full positive to get the stand-off balls on the grip and links out of the way.

It locked the flybar and I could easily and consistently get the grips to zero pitch at center stick and measure pitch.

The fixed links and this tool makes the 450 Pro head about the easiest head to set up that you could possibly have.

WOW. That's an unexpected surprise. So the Pro tool works with the V2 head. Sweet!

When I checked my V1 head, it looked like a similar design would interfere with the upper linkages. Is there enough clearance?

NOTE: THIS IS FOR TREX 450 V1 and V2 head owners ONLY. (Not Pro or Sport)

I made up some new V1 (possibly V2) locks based on the TREX 450 Pro Design. It locks it like a rock. I know it works well on the V1 head, but I need feedback on the V2 head.

I'll give out a freebie to the first two people who PM me with their shipping name and address and tell me they have a TREX 450 V2 head.

I'll also give out a freebie to the first two people who PM me with their shipping name and address and tell me they have a TREX 450 V1 head.

In return, simply post pictures of the lock on your head and let us know how it works.

If you already bought the a V1/V2 Flybar Lock by the original design, send me a
SASE and I'll send you the new design version free of charge. if you have a V2 head, wait till we get some feedback on whether this design works with the V2 head.

Helijack and CircuitX won in the V1 category.
Diploid and Autosonline2002 won in the V2 category.

Congratulations to our winners! Iíll ship them out tomorrow. Canít wait to see your pictures. Iím especially interested in how it works on the V2 head.

To the rest of you who didnít win, thanks for entering. As a consolation prize, Iíll extend you a 50% discount if you order one. Since most of you were V2 owners, wait till we see how it works out to order. Just remind me when you order and Iíll give you the discount.

Thanks,
Rick
