I prefer the button type. Once you slip it into place, it locks solid, is out of the way, and it stays put. Besides, I already packed up the button type for you. ;)

If any of you freaks are looking for a flybar lock for a CopterX 450 with the V2 head, Rick's got you covered!

http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/7791/copterxflybarlock.jpg

The CopterX head differs slightly from the Align V2, so be sure to order an "X V2" flybar lock.

The tool fits perfectly and will definitely aid in set-up. Well worth the few bucks. Also thanks to Rick for the excellent customer service! Fast, fair, and friendly, even for us Canadians, eh? http://www.helifreak.com/images/icons/icon12.gif You can't go wrong! Give him your support!

Thanks again, Rick!

Sorry if I missed it somewhere in here, but does the pro lock allow for full deflection also? Checking for 13/13+\- pitch looks to be very tight on the pro lock.

This tool holds your flybar right at 90 degrees so that you can more easily check your pitch at all deflections from full negative to full positive.

For those of you who are "old school" and flying with a flybar, like me, these really are must have tools IMO.

Thanks nmdesertracer!

I'm sure you will like it. Once you set up using it you will never want to set up without it!

Is that tool better than this Zero Pitch Tool?

The tool in your link fixes the grips at 0 degrees, the tool in this thread locks the flybar to 0.

I was wondering if you had made a zero pitch tool for the 450 pro v2 3GX unit. I would like to buy one. I'm new here so you may not be able to PM me yet.

If the tee and blade grips are flat, this tool should work:

If not, send me your head and I will make one up.
