I have just come across this forum today, and I would like to introduce you what we have developed recently:
Systems for Autonomous Heli Link (http://www.baykarmakina.com/english/baykaruas/AutonomousHeliSystems.asp)
In that web, you see the systems developed necessary to make a small size helicopter fly fully autonomously. The main components are Avionics, Comm. Link, Operator Interface.
We are thinking of using this system in AV/AP. Its main advantage is that there is no need for manuel control, or flying the heli in eyesight. Every function could be controlled just from the operator interface in real time.
Please see the 2 videos which are all autonomous:
Video 1 (http://www.baykarmakina.com/videolar/OtonomHeli2.wmv)
Video2 (http://www.baykarmakina.com/videolar/BaykarHeliIHA.wmv)
Please , send me your comments, advises and opinions on using such systems in AV/AP.

that looks VERY interesting. I can see a use for that in law enforcement type applications.

and having it on a Raptor makes it very cool. Are you selling this system yet?

Thanks a lot for the comments.
Actually, all the systems are in prototype phase now. We plan to make it a product in 2,3 months time (Changing the interface to english and so). So we havent defined a price yet, but my guess all the systems (hardware+software) will be minimum 20-25,000 $.
N74DV, I really look forward to buy your gimbal set to test it with our Raptor. We actually like to integrate the systems on a bigger helicopter. Raptor is actually for hobby RC, we need a bigger size and a platform which can be used for industrial applications, like 6 kg payload size, 1.5 hour flight endurance etc..
