Which Heli to use

OK, I own a Blade CX and will be getting either a Blade CPP or a Trex 450 on Memorial Day.

I have the Flight sim in hopes that I do not crash my new Baby when it arrives, I have add on pack 1 and 2 and have been hovering the Ion X I think it is called, Is there another heli I should be using that will be a closer match to what I will be flying in a couple weeks?

What other tips could you give on using the flight sim, what steps should I be taking?

Is there a way to keep the heli in a closer view? I have it on ground view and seem to loose orientation once it gets a several feet away.

Any answer to the first question will vary depending on who is answering. Just pick one and stick with it.

For your second question, there is something that you can do-- change the zoom type. You can do this on the view menu or by pressing the Z key. Each time you press Z the zoom type will change. There are currently three different zoom types. You can use the +/-/backspace keys to tweak the zoom level in a few of the zoom modes.

Another thing that may help would be to reduce or disable the camera lag. You can do this in the Simulation | Settings | Camera area.

You should download the Blade CP and/or A TREX-450 SIM file for your G3. I found the TREX to be out of control even after fooling with many of the stock G3 helis. I promise that it will make you a better flyer if you can pilot these little birds!
