Hi,
Please help as I am at my wits end

I bought xtr to practice flying my new T-Rex.
I have calibrated my Futaba 7c with it.
All the channels work fine apart from the throttle (ch3)

When i start the simulation it start straight into the heli rotors spinning at it seems almost full throttle but not enough to lift it off the ground.

I can move my tx throttle stick through 0 to full stick but it does not effect the heli on screen.

Anyone got any idea why i have no control.

Many thanks

Ray

Hi,
Please help as I am at my wits end

For reflex heli flying your servo setting should be as under
Ail = normal
Ele = Rev
Throttle = Rev
Rud = Nor
Gyro = Nor
Pit = Rev

Then under radio menu, go to calibrate centre. Centre all sticks, also throttle hit ok

Then in channel assignment the channels should be
Helicopter
tail rotor = 4
Ele = 2
Ail = 1
Pitch = 6
Throttle = 3

You are all set

Enjoy

Shails,
I have been away on holiday and have just come back and set up reflex as you said

All cyclic controls are responding fine
I now seem to have throttle control as in I can stop the rotor at 0 stick.
However when I spin up to full stick I still can't get a heli to lift off the ground.

Any ideas

P.S I must be so close, just missing something probably obvious.

Many thanks

You need the radio to be in PPM mode. If it is in PCM change it to PPM. If 7C has a transmitter module you can remove the module when using the sim, that way your battery will not discharge faster.

Shails,

Thanks for getting back to me,

Ny 7c is in PPM mode and I have set in Reflex as a "new nodel".

When you say the transmitter module, do you mean the crystal which i should remove.

This throttle problem is driving me crazy as I beleive it is nearly sorted but it is still not usable.

I realise that tere are a few help files on the Reflex website, but don't you think that you would get a manual in the box, especially when you are paying £125 for the program

Thanks

The only way I can get my sim to work is have the governor option selected under model/modify model prams...

OK silly question (but this happened to me on XTR today :oops: ), you have turned off your throttle hold, right ?

Also, make sure that the SWASH is set to H-1... Not HR3... When you set it back to H-1, it will wipe out all your settings on that particular "model" in the TX.

I had this problem with the PPM/PCM and H-1/HR3 when I set up mine.
