Hello gang,

I have read and answered lot of questions concerning tools and field equipment's from first time heli. flyers. Realistically we want the best tools in the market that is made by the best company in the industry. Yes, Yes! Yes, You know it, it is Century Helicopter Products who has been providing these tools and a lot of folks agrees that they own a piece of Century.

If you are starting out in this hobby the best tool set to buy would be.

These tools are great for those starting out in this hobby and as you go along you may find one that is best for you, please share with us your one of a kind tool in your tool box, but for now, I hope this thread serves as a good starting source of information.

I wouldn't tell people to buy that piston locking tool. Tell them to get the RVO1007 Crankshaft Locking Tool (Century sells that too).

They all look like useful tool except for the piston locking tool that will void your engine warranty and has a good chance of causing engine damage.

Personnaly, I'am using Piston lock tool for a long time and I have never broke an engine with it.

We generally call it a piston punch.

The crank lock tool is the way to go.

I have never broken one either, but I gave up the punch a few years ago. Once I got into 90's

The metric hex drivers are the most useful, get them to start. :wink:
