Very odd.

I'm flying a Titan that, if anything, is a bit nose heavy due to the 2400 sub-c pack up front. Normally, one would expect that a nose heavy chopper would pitch up a bit in forward flight (because you set up with a bit of aft cyclic to achieve a stable hover, which then results in some nose-up in forward flight). That's pretty much what mine used to do...in forward flight, the nose would creep up just a bit resulting in a loss of speed if I didn't keep nudging the nose back down.

I put green paddles on the other day. Went out flying and noticed a couple of things....the headspeed kicked up a chunk (didn't think the weight of the paddles would make that much difference...but I guess it did...)

The strange part is that now it wants to drop the nose a bit in forward flight. Not wildly so, just enough to remind you to stay on your toes.

Anyone else seen that?

Absolutely no other changes were made. No setup tweaks, no mix changes in the radio, etc.

check for proper paddle alignment as well...if it's off things get weird.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure they were fine...although I did find my flybar was almost 2mm off center, so the paddles will be rechecked. :P

Paddle alignment.

The weight of the paddles should not have any effect on your head speed.

The paddles weight has no effect on head speed.
Something else changed.

If you had a trim issue before, the lighter paddles will aggravate the trim issue (ie. nose heavy)

About the only other thing that had changed was the weather, and not that much. :P

NOW, however, a few things have changed. I've swapped on a fresh set of blades in place of my "dual orphans" that I was flying...put the "good" tail hub on...
