I am planning one of these Lovely helis but i am keen to see what sort servos you would recomend??? :?

I am using a 601 in my 50 hyper but fancy a JR700 with 8700 servo any one using one???

I've read that it's a good gyro. You can't go wrong with a 611 or the CSM 720 w/ a 8700.

From my experience the JR 9000 is the best. I have them on all my AVANTs.

I'll be using Hitec 6965 Karbonite gear servos on mine (when I get it - I have everything outside of the kit...).
An excellent, fast, hard wearing servo at a great price!
Metal gears seem to develop slop too easily for my liking :(
I guess it depends how much you thrash them?

I used 9451's in my EFX. Loved them and had no issues at 6v. A great value for the price IMO.

I was told by 2 manufacturers that there is a difference in air and land based servos. The servos circuit and interior parts for air are special to accomidate for vibration. I was told that they would and could work but are not designed for it and have unexpected failure due to vibrations?
Is this true? why else would the land based servo selection have such better specs in torque and speed?

I would venture to say that car servo's take more of a beating than heli servo's.Also car servo's (JR) have shorter leads.DOUG

What servos is Alan Szabo using? His DX-7 demo with the avant was some of the best flying i've seen.
