I've been flying my Hawk ever since I started helis & now that I'm progressing into things with a little more degree of dificulty I starting to question my set up.
I have all the mechanical stuff straight, level & all that good stuff on the head but heres the thing.

First I had very little climb out ( using 9 deg or 10 deg. - didnt matter on top end) with the motor bogging so I did a little tinkering on the servo set up & got the throttle traveling to the end points faster than the pitch which helped tremendsouly but now the head speed is really high - less than 2000 though but definatly higher than the recomended 16 or 1700. It was tacked but dont remember the exact reading  The climb out is very decient for the 32 when right side up but climb out is sluggish when pulling out inverted. What I dont understand is my curves are exactly the same on top & bottom as well as the pitch set up.
Any suggestions?

what blades? when were the dampers replaced last?
All this takes about 20 minutes or so to check out and setup, where are you located and we can get together?

I'm using 550 Rotortechs & my dampners are only a few flights old. I tinkered around in the back yard this evening a little more & I think I've got the headspeed - climbout very decient. I changed the throttle barrel location ever so slightly to the closed side at 50%. I didnt have anyone to tach it but I think I'm around 1700 now & the climbout seems excellent for a 32 (dont really know what perfect would be since this is my first) Didnt have the space for my skill level to get inverted so I'll have to wait till the weekend & get to the field to check that out.

I'm in the small town of Clyde (about 20 miles west on 40 fom Asheville). Love to have you come up & fly with us Wanye. Not many Heli Pilots in the club but we have a great relationship with the plankers (I'm one of those 2!) Or come down & visit you for that matter!

Im working in Greenville, SC so theres a possibility to get together on a weekend.
You'll want the headspeed up especially with the 32.
