Any of you using this motor please post your setup and headspeed.

I believe the one I have is the wrong KV. It is labeled as a 12T but I think it may be a 10T.

fwiw..

Just ran the Eagle Tree logger on my Lepton tonite...4s/12T hyperion/24 tooth pinion..H/S at Appx 2740..
CC throttle setting in gov mode at 69%, curves ran about 68 % for similar hs at 0 pitch...

Amps 49.1 max
Watts 707
2143 mah total for 6 minutes of flight..

Hope that helps...

John.

Wow. That is pretty close to what I was getting. Hmm.

I don't understand why a 664 kv motor has a higher headspeed than a 770 kv motor on the same pinion and battery. Somebody is not meaqsuring their kv's correctly I bet.

Well I will say for sure on 4S the hyperion 3025-12T spanks the Hacker A30-12Xl.
By a large margin.

Hmmm Mudbogger, so based on what your saying I should be able to run 5S with my 10T hyperion?

no no no no! Even the 12T was too hot on 5S at 50-55% throttle.
I think the hyperion motors are just run diffrent from the hackers as far as kv ratings go.
bmlasater had almost the exact #'s I did on 4S so I do not think my motor was mislabeled now.

Now the Hacker A30-12XL on 5S is another story!

So spill the beans and tell the story
I am going to get a 5S motor and want to pick something known to work well. This 19T pinion is burning a hole in my pocket ;)
