Ice 100a/hk-1390 help pretty please

I have a outrage 550 ditching the gaui 1100 and putting on a 4020-1390 with spacer and an 11t 12t or 13t
I also have the ice 100 set up now for fixed endpoints would anyone have this setup as I don't have a tach. I'm also using a dx7
6s 5000mah packs
Trying to swap over just the motor the headspeeds would be way off. I'm just hovering at the moment and about to break loose into ff trying for headspeeds 1900-2200

Use the 12t pinion first and start off with an 80% throttle curve. When I ran a flat 100% curve on this setup I was over 2400

Use the "outrunner" PWM setting and low timing. On Pheonix controllers I think the number "5" setting equals to about 15° timing which is about right

Adjust the throttle curve for the headspeed that you want..85& will be about right for Idle 2 more than likely.

70% throttle should give you approx 1900 headspeed but you will need to look at your ICE graph to see what you have and adjust

James, is this gov mode or leave it in fixed and just play with the curvs , do I need to redo anything in ice other than setting pwm and timming? And when you say straight 100% curve you mean 85 85 85 straight across right? Thanks, g

Personal preference. Some like a normal throttle mode with a curve..0-65-85-85-85 or whatever then either flat or V curves for the Idle up modes.

I use Set RPM Gov mode with Castle controllers.

Since you have set up fixed endpoints now, why dont you start with them and see how your headspeed looks and feels to you and find a % that suits you..Then if you want to set up Gov mode Ill be glad to help.

When I mentioned the flat 100% throttle curve I tried on my 1390/12t setup I meant 100-100-100-100-100 gave me close to 2500 headspeed...I sure dont need that but it was cool for a flight or 2:YeaBaby: With a V curve like 100-93-85-93-100 I had a decent headspeed lf about 2250 in the hover
