Anybody here fly Outrage 550 6s setup using the Jive 80+LV ESC with built in BEC? I think the spike in a 6s setup for this size can exceed 80 amp, but the Jive 80 with a heatsink can handle double of that, so I heard.
Anyone fly 3D with this Jive 80LV on your Outrage 550 6s?
Thanks in advance.

I don't have an personal expierence with the Jive but i run an HV85 and don't have an issue, i'm willing to go out on a limb here and tell you that the Jive 80 should be fine. Like any machine its all going to depend on how you gear it, i run my machines hard and the 85A esc on mine doesnt even get warm.

It is possible to raise the performance enormously by installing an additional air or water cooler system. The naming 80+ means: minimum 80 A. With a good extra cooler it is possible to increase to double power.
This came from the Kontronik website. And the 80A is continuous so even without extra cooling it will withstand spikes way over 80A as long as you're not running it at it's limit continuously. Of course extra cooling never hurts.

Pretty much every esc is spec'ed in continuous current.
