Hey everyone, as i am still getting setup with all my electronics (chargers and stuffs) for my ion..

i would like to get a flight logger/data recorder, so i can check what amps are being pulled by my ion during full power climbouts etc.

just wondering what are you guys using? and how does it record onto a computer?..

Cheers,
matt

Eagle Tree Micrologger. Does everything you're wanting to do, you can change the capture rate so you can capture all of your flights in a day, or just do a very high resolution of one. Downloads data to your computer using USB. Can add RPM and temperature sensors. This data is what convinced me to safely fly with a Jazz 55-10-32. I think this is a "must have" for big electric flyers.

can i just ask where you can purchase this Eagle tree micrologger?

and what powers it? your receiver battery or its own battery?

Yep, I have the full eagle tree system with remote screen so I can see in real time or d/l to my puter.

I bought it for my logo 14, but I think the Ion is a worthy machine to set it up on, so I will be doing that as soon as I maiden the heli. Soon I hope. Just have a few minor issues to work out first...

I have seen the system work though. You can get the logger and use the info without the RF screen though, same info.. :D

You can get it direct from the manufacturer, http://www.eagletreesystems.com/

It's powered by the power batteries, not the receiver pack.
