Question on IonX tail blades

What are people using on the tail of the Ion? Mine was bought used and the tail blades are a translucent white color, and are 7.7mm at the root.

Before my heli arrived I bought some vblades for top and backside and the root of the tailblades is 5mm I think. Is there a shim available for this, or can you use a fiber washer to make up the diff.

Im not sure if the blade grips for the tail are stock or not, so looking to see what works best for holding. The vblades I bought are 95mm, but as I said above, they wont fit, too narrow.Any help appreciated.

BTW, as soon as I resolve this I am ready for my maiden flight... :D

yeh thats the stock MA bkades that come with the kit , they work well , but for extreme 3D VBlades 95s work good , spacers are required , at IRCHA last year I bought a pile of spacers from Vic with VBlades , or was that MAH tent , huh? cant remember , you should be able to get them from Vic at VBlade , call and tell them what you have , Ion tail is the same as the stratus , fury , fury tempest , gaser, and the MXR Razor , they are all the same thinkness , you can use those translucent blades till the spacers come in , they will work fine , but maybe ( might ) blow out at extreme backwards flight ,

hey , no problem , :mrgreen: I know alot of stuff , but its not ALL ! I do injoy the Ion , this heli hands down is the best for its size , now , I just need to get my MXR Razor done , got all the servos in today , and all hooked up , YYyyeeeeeeeHHHhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gordohigh you can also use the the V105's they work good as well i prefer the 105'son the Ion over the 95's gives you alittle more tail authority
