hey got my raptor 50 the other day, got it up and running and so far so good, but need to start fine tuning and had a bunsh of questions....

Raptor 50 V2
OS 50 SX-H
Sab 600
Spektrumized 6102

Fisrt is Pitch curve
Normal:
Stunt:

Throttle Curve
Normal:
Stunt:

What is the best way to start the heli? I have throttle hold set at -14 right now and use the hold to start becasue info from raptor technique states your throttle curve should be 20,40,50,60,100, is this correct? 20% is a bit high I think but I dont know any better.

I come from an electric background and nitro is a little differnet so tip and pointers would be appreciated

Thanks,
Ed

You want the bottom of the normal curve to provide a reliable idle with the clutch not engaged and the trim centered.

6102 is JR and they usually have mechanical throttle trim, so in that case you want it to idle with the trim centered and shut off with the trim at full low. Throttle hold point can/should be about the same as your mid trim point, a nice idle with the clutch not grabbing.

I also have a question about starting.

So after I start the heli with the starter. Should the blades be spinning when the heli is idling?

Nope.

Some clutches will drag slightly but if you can stop the blades by hand w/o stalling the engine then the liner will wear in. If its constantly tugging at idle then either the clutch is sprung and needs to be replaced or theres not adaquate clearance between the clutch and liner.
