Well as most of you know i have been flying my Ion on 12s with the new 4600 Tp packs so far power is really good after 70 flights but iam still only getting 5 minutes of flight time.
setup
12s1p Extreme 4600 packs
A ctro 32-4
Schulze 40-160
geared 9.1
One thing i have noticed after flying the Ion on 10s1p for the last 6 months@ 10.2lbs the heavier 12s setup just doesnt seem to feel as crisp cyclic wise
Bottom line i guess what iam tryig to say is i personally think for flying 3d 10s1p wiht the Neu or the Actro 32-3 @ 10 to 10 1/2lbs is the way to go wiht the New battery technology the helicopter@ that weight has a whole new feel also controllers are priced right

Thanks Bobby!
Nice Info...
Do you think 12S 3700 could be worth it or better save the 0,4lbs and go to the really light 10S?
Did you allways use 690 V`s? Is it possible that with the heavier but stronger 12S some longer or different blades would work better?
What Headspeed were you flying?
Sorry for all these questions. I am changing the Powertrain from the Vibe E. I think you could give some usable Input`s.
What do you think about the Neu ORK 1915?

Hi Marcel how have you beeen?
I was thinking about using the FP evo 3300 packs to get the weight around the same as the 10s setup
As for blades i have 5 sets that i really like and fly them when iam trying stuff they range from 680's to 710's also i try alot of differant pitch settings as well
Havent tried the new Ork yet maybe soon i also am flying a single stage Ion frame which is a couple oz lighter then the stock Ion frame

Have been frustrated with that Vibe, ore better it`s Powertrain.
First i noticed, the motor cooling-fan`s were buildt-in in the wrong direction. Then the HV 110 wich was working very well for me, stopped working after installing the latest Update (1.52 or something like this). I got a new one, but did never use it. I don`t trust it any longer.
So i was waiting for a 14S capable ESC, they always told me "it will arrive in the next 10 days".
And now you`re telling us, that low weight 10S is still flying better... :(
I think i would have better already took out that Pletti on 12S, fit in a lighter Outerrunner or try an ORK and go with a 10S Setup many week`s ago... i`ll probably get that Vibe down to 10 lbs too.
And i would have been flying it for some weeks instead of watching it standing on the table.
As for the Blades: I was using 710`s Radix and was curious if 690`s would be better for the E Vibe, but was not able to get a set 690`s here. Now i would be able to get a set of 175 gramm 710`s too.
What would you suggest to use? And why?
thanks,
Marcel

I have found that 690s seem to give the best performance wiht out taking alot out of the power system i alos have found that using blades form 170 to 175 work the best as well

Thanks a lot!
I`m going to get a set of 690`then. Will see if the E Vibe is similar enough to the Ion`s.

I would have to buy one ion and a big box of spare parts.
It`s not very efficient to order the parts overseas for every single crash. :dontknow
Just orderd a 32-3 this afternoon. It`s probably 0,4lbs lighter than the big pletti...
No 690 radix or V`s here to buy. I will give the Fun-key`s a try. They (600`s) perform well on the Rex.
I`ll let you know...

I think so, Yes. Part No is the same, without the first 2 letters.
I will try H6966C 175gramm
Do you already have tried them?
I had the feeling that they don`t load as much @ hard cyclic, compared to the V`s, but are very similar from what you feel through fast rolls etc. Maybe a little less aggressive on collective.
