I've seen the other post on the tail blade grip tightness refering to the finless vids for the Trex 450, however Bob did not specify how loose or tight the tail rotor blade grips should be! At least from what I saw. My question is how tight should the tail rotor blade grips be set?
Little background...at the flying field today I noticed that the larger nitro birds have very loose tail rotor blades, practically just flopping in the direction of gravity. I come from the blade cp which is a set tail blade (ie. rigid). My trex 450 has the tail blade just tight enough to move only when I fold it in a direction, not loose at all. One of the fliers at the field with a trex 450 had his tail blades as loose as the before mentioned larger nitro birds.
Should my tail blades be this loose? Does this take a strain off of the Gyro?
Please help...Thanks.
