I noticed today that my fuel tank on my Extreme swells up very badly from the pressure of the YS91. Is it normal to swell this much or should i replace the fuel tank? Could something else be wrong?

Thanks,
Mike

No mike that is normal of the YS engines it runs on a pressurized fuel system.

I used to have a YS .61 did the same thing. I have a .91YS now but not in a fury, and it builds pressure.

The short of it is YES!!! It's normal...

Cool thanks. It just seemed as though the swelling is more than it ususlly is. Might just be the tank getting deformed from it.

Wrap some tape around it, I heard stories of YS's who let the tank explode. You can't be sure enough.

It should have a piece of velcro around the tank if I'm not mistaken. they usually swell a good bit on the MA tanks. You will probably see it swell about 1/4" from it's normal size. Looks like a small ballon.

Does the tank go back to normal after presure is released from the system.

Mike,
It is perfectly normal for the tank on the Fury's to swell when using the YS 91. The YS 91 is putting about 5 to 7 PSI in the tank and maintaining it. No need to worry about the integrity of the tank. It will not be a problem as long as the velcro strap has the tank secured to the frames.

It pretty much returns back to its normal size. I was just concerned because it looks like a baloon. Also it pulls itself free from the double sided tape.
Thanks
Mike
