Greetings:
Wanted to start this thread for Newbies like myself that have or are planning to get this exciting kit. Relying on your local shop for gold standard equipment for precision hobbies can sometimes be risky (ex: my local shop setup my 450XL SE with a HS-55 for my tail which later was followed by a crash). I would prefer avioding these poor choices as it becomes twice as expensive later and does nothing for your confidence. Here is the setup I'm planning to use for my first 600CF. Please give suggestions for any section:
1. Helicopter Kit: Align TREX 600 CF
2. Main Blade Head: Metal Main Rotor Holder H60081 (tired of the controversy between the defective plastic part)
3. Blades: Thunder Tiger Carbon 600mm
4. Battery: EVO 20 NF 4900 6sp1
5. Cyclic & Collective Servos: 3-Hitec Digital HS-6975HB
6. Tail Servo: Futaba S9256
7. Gyro: Futaba GY611
8. Motor: Using whats supplied in the kit
9. ESC: Using whats supplied in the kit
10. BEC: Using whats supplied in the kit
11. Lipo Charger: Astro 109
12. Lipo Balancer: ?
13. Receiver: ? (Hobby store rec)
14. Transmitter: JR XP6102
I hope this type of thread can spread to the TREX 450 Line. I think in the end rather than only one brand and model# garnishing top popularity, it will be different brands with similar specs, characteristics and features.
