It started raining on me today so I flew my logo into the garage and set it down too close to a tire. The tips of the blades just barely caught the rubber tread, half way thru spool down! I tried to cyclic away but the slower the disk went the closer the tire got. Any tricks to sealing the blade tips? I know as soon as it hits speed they are going to come off with a terrifying noise :arggg: I'm asking for the experts help, any tape, liquids, etc that others have used, please let me in on it, thanks- Enigma

I am assuming you are talking about wooden blades and the plastic covering that they have on them? If so there are many ways to fix them. Are you sure they did not suffer any material damage other than the plastic covering? If they are wooden blades and you are talking about the plastic film on them, you can purchase new covering and redo with a heat gun, I have heard of modelers using monokote to repair them, superglue although I do not recommend that one myself, clear packing tape.. These are just a few suggestions I have done, heard, seen, or viewed. Which ever repair method you use make sure to rebalance the blades when you are done.
If these are damaged CF blade tips and you cannot verify the integrity of the internal structure toss them. My opinion only others may feel differently.. You can repair CF blades for nicks, scratches small small dings, but not opened up ends. You and those around you could be seriously hurt by damaged CF blades

No damage to the blades, just enough scrape to open the ends of the covers. I used clear nail polish and it seems to be holding.

Just be careful enigma. If they are wood blades, it does not take much of a hit at the end of the blade to stress rack the roots areound where your grips are glued on. Check them over very well, if one of them lets go, it will probably total your heli. Maybe best to invest in a new set of woodies.
Also, I am suprised you can get them smooth enough to work on a camera ship!! WOW!!
